Performance desktops are mainstream desktops with everything taken up a notch. These computers have powerful CPUs and low to midrange discrete graphics cards, with lots of RAM and big hard drives. Many include Blu-ray players and burners. Desktops in this category are designed to edit audio and HD video, and often include nicer keyboards and mice in the box - often wireless. Performance desktops can play most games, though not at the highest settings, and some machines will come with Wi-Fi built-in, as well as TV tuners that let users watch digital TV right on the computer. This category tends to run several hundred dollars more than the mainstream category, but these machines are often built with higher quality materials and many include monitors packaged together.
