Dell has really put a lot of effort into selling flat panel displays, and it shows. They've been the most popular brand of desktop monitor sold worldwide until this year, when Samsung just barely overtook them. Their displays tend to run the gamut, with very basic models on one end, all the way up to 30-inch, high dynamic range models.
The 1909W is definitely closer to one end than the other, but offers a fair amount of features for the price. With a pricetag of $239, the Ultrasharp 1909W offers the following specifications:

While 19" 1440x900 is little low resolution for my personal tastes, it's the number selling resolution in computer monitors, according to NPD. The stand for the new 1909W offers tilt and swivel adjustments, the latter of which are really handy when wanting to view webpages in more traditional column formats. The most useful extra feature, however, is likely going to be the built-in 4-port USB 2.0 hub. USB hubs are generally a feature reserved for higher-end monitors, and given how cheap they are for manufacturers (essentially almost nothing when compared to the cost of the rest of the display, it's nice to see one in a more basic model.
The 1909W is available now at Dell's website.
