Vigor Gaming today announced it has partnered with AMD to create a series of desktops based on the AMD GAME! initiative.

The Force Recon SP is the first Vigor Gaming system to feature the AMD GAME! logo. The purpose of AMD GAME! is to make it easier for consumers to pick out a computer to suit their needs, simplifying the buying process and guaranteeing them a computer that will do what they want without a problem.

Two different configurations will be offered on the Force Recon SP. The basic configuration is targeted at gamers looking to play at an SXGA (1280x1024 pixels) resolution. It will include an AMD Athlon X2 5600+ processor, at least 2GB of RAM, an AMD 770 or Nvidia nForce 500 series chipset, and an ATI Radeon HD 3650 graphics card. A Force Recon SP system with these specifications will have a price tag of around $1,845.

A more serious Force Recon SP gaming rig will have the AMD GAME! Ultra specifications, including an AMD Phenom X4 9650 quad-core processor (Vigor offers a 9850), ATI Radeon HD 3870 graphics, and an AMD 770 chipset. This setup is designed to play games at a UXGA (1600x1200 pixels) resolution. A system with these specifications will carry a price tag of $2,733.

Force Recon SP systems come with Windows Vista Home Premium pre-installed, and are backed by a three-year limited warranty.
