CES 2013: Lenovo Erazer X700 Gives Alienware a Run for its Money

As I mentioned earlier, the Erazer is Lenovo's first PC in its new Erazer gaming brand. Previous attempts to break into the gaming market have fallen under the PC giant's IdeaCentre brand; evidently Lenovo decided that the IdeaCentre IP was too safe to engage the kind of target market that's willing to pay above and beyond for high-end gaming goodness.

The new chassis design is ultra-menacing, with rugged, masculine features and cold blue accent lighting. It's an effective look, and the blue and silver give it a futuristic feel that steers away from the angry red lighting so many companies put in. Of course, the machine promises to be just as serious inside as it is on the outside, and Lenovo had to put some high-end hardware down to make sure it was.
