Turtle Beach Announces New Wireless and Wired Headsets

Turtle Beach has produced a whole new line of headsets at CES, including wireless and wired devices that span across the Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and mobile gaming.

Wireless Gaming Console Headsets

Turtle Beach has announced two new models for consoles, the XP510 for the Xbox 360 and the PX51 for PlayStation 3.

The XP510 and PX51 will be Turtle Beach's most technologically advanced headsets for console. Both models will feature Turtle Beach's proprietary digital signal processor (DSP), Dolby surround sound, Dual Band Wi-Fi that offers an interface-free connection, and Bluetooth technology. Each headset will also offer a rechargeable lithium polymer battery with a 15 hour lifespan.

The XP510 will be sold for $290 and the PX51 will be sold for $270 and both models are expected to hit shelves sometime in the first quarter of 2013.

Ear Force SEVEN Series

The Ear Force SEVEN Series is Turtle Beach's top of the line tournament-grade line of headsets for consoles, PC, and mobile gaming.

First announced last year at E3 the Seven Series offers 3 models with the Ear Force XP for console gaming; the Z Seven for PC gaming; and the M Seven for mobile games.

Additionally, each of these three models will be able to stretch across different platforms thanks to its unique interchangeable cable kits, and a removable boom microphone and in-line microphone for added flexibility. With the SEVEN Series it is possible to use the same headset across any console PC, Mac or mobile platform with no diminishing audio quality.

The SEVEN Series headsets for console and PC will also offer Turtle Beach's advanced touch capacitive Audio Control Unit, which allows users to independently change the mix of game, chat, and microphone audio levels. The headsets will also come equipped with Turtle Beach's Advanced Sound Editor (ASE) allows gamers to use a total of eight game and eight audio presets for a total of 64 possible audio mixes to match their personal preferences.

Turtle Beach has will also be offering  the TM1 standalone mixer for the console and PC LAN multiplayer gaming, providing tournament-grade quality and functionality for home use. The TM1 supports communication with up to six players, as well as a number of input and output features including a broadcast feed, making this a perfect product for live-casting or those interested in streaming gaming content.

The XP Seven will be sold for $280, the Z Seven will be sold for $250, and the M Seven will be sold for $150. All three headsets are expected to release sometime in the first quarter in 2013. The TM1 is currently available and is listed at $250. 

Ear Force PX22

Turtle Beach has also announced the Ear Force PX 22 is a direct upgrade to the PX 21. The wired headset will be compatible with the PC, Mac, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and mobile devices. Major upgrades includes amplified stereo sound, variable Bass Boost, Treble Boost, Chat Boost, and a 4-pole connector for compatibility with mobile devices.

The will be available for $80 and is  expected to release sometime in the second quarter of 2012.

Ear Force Z300 and Ear Force Z22 for PC

In addition to the Ear Force Z Seven Turtle Beach has announced two additional models for the PC, the Ear Force Z300 and Ear Force Z22.

The Z300 headset is a wireless headset similar to the XP510 and PX51, the device will offer Dual Band Wi-Fi and a rechargeable lithium polymer batter with a 15-hour lifespan. The Z300 will also be the only Bluetooth enabled PC headset capable of answering calls or streaming music via a mobile device.

In contrast to the Z300 the Z22 is a USB powered wired headset for the PC. The device will offer full mobile capability and analog inputs, along with Chat Boost, variable Bass and Treble Boost features.

The prices for both headsets has yet to be determined and both devices are expected to release  in the second quarter of 2013.
