Portal 2

You’re a lab rat again, stuck in a huge testing laboratory with some boxes, a portal gun, gels, lasers, tunnels, faith plates, attack turrets, far-away platforms, and more. You must find a way out by utilizing everything you’ve been handed by the robot AI and the original creator of the facility, Cave Johnson. Portal 2 is a brain-teasing puzzle game that will have you scratching your head whilst making you laugh at the contagious humor GLaDOS and Wheatley (the witty AI characters) have to offer. This time the game has been penetrated with the theme of potatoes, lots of ballyhoo, and power-hungry artificial intelligence personalities…and of course, this is all in the name of science.

If you’re wondering what in the world a faith plate is, read on.

Portal 2 Specifications:

  • Genre: Sci-fi puzzle platformer (first-person perspective)
  • Publisher/Developer: Valve Corporation
  • ESRB rating: E10+
  • Platforms: PC/Mac, Xbox 360, PS3
  • Game engine: Source
  • Minimum system requirements:
  • PC: Windows XP or later, 3.0 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or 2.0 GHz Dual Core CPU, 1GB RAM on Windows XP/Windows 7, 2 GB on Windows Vista, 7.6 GB free HDD space, DirectX 9 graphics card w/ 128 MB RAM
  • Mac: Mac OS X v10.6.7 or later, 2.0 GHz Intel Core Duo CPU, 2 GB RAM, 7.6 GB free HDD space, Intel HD Graphics 3000/ATI Radeon HD 2400/NVIDIA GeForce 8600M or better

For Science!
Alas, we’ve come a long way since the original Portal and its factitious cakes, which first blew minds and broke records back in 2007. What was originally  a sleeper hit that no one saw coming is now a full-blown, AAA title in the form of Portal 2. Now that it’s a much bigger production with fans and funds to back it up, Portal 2 is a longer experience with a handful of shiny new gameplay elements and a brand-new co-op mode to keep things just as fun and humorous the second time around.

Portal 2 players on Steam alone, within the first two hours of its release
