Ah, the holidays. A time for friends and family to get together, to eat as much food as you can without exploding and to give a present to the people you care about. Christmas shopping is starting to ramp up, and whether you need a new all-in-one or just an extra boost, DesktopReview has the information you need.
It's no secret notebook computers have, within the past year or two, finally eclipsed the sale of desktops worldwide. It really makes sense, too - a lot of households will have individual laptops for specific family members, maybe even a couple of netbooks - and then a central desktop that's shared by the family. The editors at DesktopReview.com have put together desktop categories to help you decide which PC is best for you.

HP's TouchSmart line of all-in-ones has pushed the boundaries as far as touch-capable software goes, but the company can only do so much on its own. It's a common motto in the technology industry that software sells hardware, and HP is hoping to beef up the selection of software available for both its notebook and desktop touch products.
We saw it back in August at a press event in New York, and now it's finally here - Dell's new Mac Mini competitor, the diminutive Zino HD, hit the ground running with a number of configurations starting at just $229. Hit the read link for the full details.
At an event in California today, HP unveiled a new "Pro" line of business desktops. The new Pro 3000s are surprisingly flexible, offering configurations that range from Intel Celeron and AMD Athlon 2 CPUs up to Core 2 Quad and Phenom II X4s.
Worldwide recession? The CPU makers don't seem to be feeling it. IDG is claiming that processor shipments worldwide for the third quarter of this year rose a whopping twenty-three percent over the same period a year prior. While much of that growth can be attributed to the explosive rise in netbook and nettop CPUs, there are a couple of surprises.
Each month we compile data for the number of times a particular desktop is viewed on this site's product pages to get an idea for what mainstream consumers are looking at and thinking about buying. While these desktops aren't necessarily the most popular in terms of sales, they are the most popular based on the number of times our visitors clicked on them.
The Lenovo C300 series is part of their value line of desktops, offering affordable all-in-ones starting at $449. The C300 offers a 20-inch 1600x900 screen that can handle HD video, and features a higher resolution than other cheap all-in-one systems. In this review we take an in-depth look at the Lenovo C300, and find out if it is the right all-in-one system for you.
Lenovo has been pumping out the desktops, lately, and no small number of them have been all-in-ones. Given the forced stratification of the stagnant desktop market, that's no surprise. Fortunately, the new A70z isn't just another nettop; it's packed with Core 2 Duo processors, 4GB of RAM and a bevy of wall mount options.
With ATI's recent efforts dominating the market, NVIDIA and their board partners have to do something to try and keep the fans excited, and the most recent effort goes to EVGA's GTX 275 CO-OP PhysX card, which grafts a GTS 250 GPU onto a traditional GTX 275 and uses it as a dedicated PhysX processor.
What with crazy powerful quad-core CPUs and GPU-assisted application processing, companies have started referring to every new flagship desktop as some kind of personal supercomputer. MAINGEAR is jumping on the bandwagon with a similar claim - but wrapped in a sexy and sleek exterior.
Alienware is a controversial brand. They often deliver high performing products, but there's also an accompanying high price tag. One of the ways they try to stand out is through unique styling, and recently the company went through a complete redesign. The new identity is aggressive and futuristic, and the Alienware OptX AW2210 display fits it to a 't'. Read on for our full review.Ballmer Says Windows 7 Sales are Fantastic, Twice Anything Else
