It's about time that fans of Apple's Mac OS X operating system get some love from big time game developers. Gaming on the Mac exists, but it's always been a little sparse, limited to a title here or there. If Valve's teasers say what we think, though, gaming on the Mac is about to change in a very big way.
NVIDIA just posted a video demo of their upcoming flagship card running some benchmarks to YouTube. The results? It seems, with reservations, to be about a match for ATI and their Radeon HD5870.The editors at DesktopReview.com have put together desktop categories to help you decide which PC is best for you.

Until now, the vast majority of solid state drives on the market have been produced by companies not all that well known for being in the storage business - Intel, OCZ, Corsair, Kingston, Crucial (with Samsung being a notable exception) - the big hard drive makers have been substantially absent. Western Digital is looking to change all that.
AMD has seen fit to bring out their latest generation of chipset with new integrated graphics, the 890GX. A first model in the 800-series, the 890GX brings a number of improvements to the AMD stable: native SATA3.0, a new SB850 southbridge (finally!), more powerful graphics, USB3.0, dual- and hybrid-GPU options and perhaps most interesting of all, compatibility with the six-core Phenom II X6 processor.
High-end Alienware rigs are nice, but they're not where the Round Rock computer giant makes all of its money. The value-centric Inspiron desktop line has always been a consistently strong seller, offering consumers a basic desktop that handles the majority of what users need without breaking the bank. Read on for our review of the Dell Inspiron 580s.
NVIDIA's new Fermi architecture, it's next-generation graphics processing chips, is almost here. Their GeForce Twitter account announced just a few hours ago that the launch date for it's upcoming cards is going to be March 26th-coinciding, unsurprisingly enough, with the PAX East Gaming Expo in Boston.
Alienware's new Aurora ALX is one of the four new offerings in Dell's rebranded gaming desktop line. Replete with temperature-sensing fins, impressive branding, top-of-the-line components and most importantly a cool sliding door, the Aurora ALX is definitely not for the faint of heart - or the faint of wallet. Is the new face of Alienware worth the price? Read on for our full review.
In an attempt to become more responsive and agile in the market, AMD divested itself of its chip fabrication plants, with the process finished by early last year. The new company, GLOBALFOUNDRIES, is proving it can do just fine - and that it isn't limited to computer CPUs.
Multitouch all-in-one computers are on the rise; it's a form factor that lends itself pretty well to the technology. Unfortunately, all too often they're plagued by accompanying high prices. Lenovo's aiming to fix that with their new C315.
ASUS has been putting the now-famous Eee brand on more than just netbooks for some time, now. The EeeTop ET2203T continues the trend, using parts substantially more powerful than those found in traditional nettops, but carrying a substantially higher price tag, too. Is it worth it? Read on for our full review.
Today Lenovo introduced an update to its storied ThinkStation line in the form of the ThinkStation E20, a new entry-level option to its higher-end workstation brothers. Just about everything in this system is configurable, with Pentium, Core i3, Core i5 and Xeon CPUs as well as integrated and discrete graphics. Prices start at $599.
Gateway out of nowhere refreshed their entire suite of desktops this week, introducing new versions of its all-in-one, slim, mainstream and gaming models. The new gaming models especially have sharp new designs, showing that Gateway has some spunk left in it yet.OCZ Onyx: Cheap SSDs Finally Fast?
